PRGF is a breakthrough procedure that is transforming dentistry by enabling dentists to speed up healing and reduce the incidence of infection following treatments.

The term PRGF literally means "Protein/plasma rich in growth factors".  The process involves taking a small sample of blood from the patient at the start of their treatment.  The blood is then"spun" in a centrifuge which separates the protein rich plasma from the sample. The plasma is then returned to the patient at the site of treatment e.g. in an area where a tooth has just been extracted or around an implant that is being placed. The proteins in the plasma are used by the body to enhance healing naturally. By using PRGF, recovery time and post treatment discomfort can be minimised.

We are pleased to be a recognised centre for BTI-Biotechnology Institute for the use of  Endoret® (PRGF®) which can be used during many different surgical procedures including the placement of implants, grafting and extractions. It is also used successfully in facial rejuvenation treatments having regenerative and corrective properties.

It is used in oral surgery to promote bone and adjacent soft tissue regeneration in post-extraction defects. When placing implants, the use of  Endoret® (PRGF®) provides an amount of proteins at the site that increase the regeneration capacity of bone lost over years, and the repair of tissues after surgery.
